National Award for Community Impact in Charity Retail 2017

Awarded at the national conference for the charity retail sector, we were delighted to win this national award for our project measuring social value, using the Charity Retail Association’s Social Value Toolkit. It was for hosting events that support our cause, but also support other local charities, including hosting art exhibitions painted by service users of the learning disability charity Generate, selling plants grown by Share Community’s service users with mental health issues, donating space to the local community radio project, assisting Syrian refugees, opening shops in empty local buildings and only employing local staff and volunteers.

Best Green Business (Wandsworth Business Awards) 2016

Awarded at the prestigious local business awards at the Town Hall in December 2016 for our commitment to recycling, keeping tonnage out of landfill and our creative approach to promoting reuse and recycling through video and social media.

Best Social Media & Marketing (Wandsworth Business Awards) 2016 Highly Commended

National Award for Innovation in Charity Retail 2016

Awarded at the national charity retail conference in June 2016 for our innovative use of our retail space for community events that increase footfall and donations to our shops, whilst partnering with other local charities, organisations etc.  Examples include Wandsworth Arts Fringe, The Streets, wine tasting in conjunction with local wine merchant and a Lebanese Evening with a local celebrity chef and commitment to the Community (Wandsworth Business Awards) 2015

Awarded for our community volunteer programme 'Everyone is Welcome.'  We are proud to offer opportunities to individuals who need to improve their language skills, confidence, communication and customer service etc as well as to people with learning difficulties, mental health issues and others requiring a second chance at integrating into society.

    30 day Reading Challenge

I have 10 books that I haven't got around to starting yet so I want to read one chapter a day for 30 days. This challenge is inspired by wanting to expand my knowledge on important issues such as climate degradation and the history of HIV and AIDS in the UK.
