Meet the Senior Leadership Team

When you come into one of our wonderful shops, you will most likely be met by one of our dedicated volunteers, the backbone of our organisation!

Behind the scenes though is a very small team of employees, making sure that all the cogs fit together and helping Oasis to run smoothly.

Gill Perkins

Chief Executive and driving force behind, well, everything...

In 2011 after 20+ years in corporate sales and marketing I needed a new challenge.  I was offered the role of CEO at Wandsworth Oasis.  I justified the significant cut in salary to my husband by the fact that I would be working shorter hours and would be home to cook his dinner every night!

Six years later it still hasn’t happened!  Why? Well, behind every HIV diagnosis there is a vulnerable individual.  If we can stop just one new diagnosis, our work makes sense.  So, supported by a great team of highly committed, slightly mad charity shop junkies and thanks to some amazing donors we open up our shops every day and sell, sell, sell.  It’s hard work, but I wouldn’t swap if for the world."

Having worked within the borough of Wandsworth for the past 8 years I have always been aware of Wandsworth Oasis and the fantastic work they do. It is a pleasure to come on board to help promote this wonderful company whilst also raising awareness of the great work they do within the community.

Wandsworth Oasis is a small company and is very community oriented.

Across our eleven shops we have some great stock and are really grateful to everyone that donates to us. We are all raising money for such a good cause.

I joined Wandsworth Oasis in September 2017 as a Finance Manager, drawn by its family approach of care for the local community.

Wandsworth Oasis is working towards bringing sustainable improvements to the lives of hundreds of vulnerable people in the local community and my role is to build and lead a motivated finance team, who would support our five-year strategiy. I aim to bring "home" my experience from the private business and international development sector.
